A fully integrated system combining patented LED curing technology with approved light-curing pipe liners. It is used for the trenchless rehabilitation of wastewater pipes.
A liner impregnated with light-curing resin is inserted into the existing pipe and pressed against the pipe wall using air pressure. An LED light head is then pulled through the liner. The blue light activates the photoinitiators in the resin, curing the liner into a new, structurally sound pipe within the existing pipe.
Bluelight operates in the blue-light wavelength range around 450 nm (444–457 nm). The resin systems contain specially developed, patented photoinitiators. The LEDs are compact, lightweight and energy-efficient.
At a rate of 0.30 to 1.65 metres per minute, equivalent to 18 to 99 metres per hour. The exact rate depends on the liner type, diameter, wall thickness and LED head.
The PAA F-Liner covers DN70 to DN400. The PAA GF-Liner covers DN150 to DN600, as well as egg-shaped profiles from DN200/300 to DN400/600.
Up to 125 metres in a single installation, and more in exceptional cases.
Yes. The PAA F-Liner can negotiate bends of up to 90 degrees and accommodate 2D or 3D changes in nominal diameter, depending on the product. The PAA GF-Liner can negotiate bends of up to 15 degrees, but cannot accommodate changes in nominal diameter.
Yes, with the PAA F-Liner. A special light-transmitting support tube is used for this purpose.
The F-Liner has a flexible synthetic-fibre carrier with a PU coating and is installed using the inversion method. It is particularly suitable for lateral connections and underground drainage pipes with bends. The GF-Liner has a dimensionally stable glass-fibre carrier (GRP), is pulled into place and is designed for larger, straight pipe sections.
The F-Liner uses only styrene-free vinyl ester resin (AP450). For the GF-Liner, you can choose between styrene-free vinyl ester resin (AP450) and styrene-containing polyester resin (PB450).
Both options are available. Impregnated liners are storage-stable. Excess resin can be returned to its container during impregnation.
The technology is approved by DIBt (Germany), WRC (United Kingdom) and CSTB (France). The approval documents can be downloaded from the .
The service life is at least 50 years.
The process is odour-free, produces low emissions and uses environmentally friendly resin. According to Bluelight, it reduces CO₂ emissions by 90 to 99% compared with heat-curing systems. Silicone support tubes can be reused.
Installation times are short, rehabilitated sections can be returned to service quickly, there are no chemical odours and no excavation is required. After rehabilitation, the pipe is watertight and structurally sound.
The system is fully software-controlled and automatically records all relevant parameters. The liner can be inspected by camera before curing. In addition, the group’s own laboratories test raw materials and samples of liners cured on site.
No. Bluelight is a trading company and does not enter into contracts to carry out rehabilitation work. Rehabilitation is performed by system users, who are specialist contractors. A list is available on the “Users” page.
Yes. Bluelight offers a demonstration and rental system with an application technician for individual projects, and also maintains a pool of rental equipment.
Yes. The purchase includes one to two weeks of personalised training at the customer’s premises. Regular user training, remote maintenance and workshops in Germany and Denmark are also available.
A laser measuring device that determines the diameter, circumference and shape of a sewer from above, through the manhole, without anyone having to enter and without requiring a manhole attendant. It measures sizes from DN100 to DN1000 (up to DN1500 for concrete pipes), with a typical deviation of approximately ±2%, and can be operated via an app without training.
